In the latest review by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA), the fuel price for super-petrol rose by Sh8.19 per litre.
The diesel and kerosene prices have also risen by Sh5.51 and Sh5.32 respectively.
In Nairobi, motorists will pay Sh115.18 for a litre of petrol, Sh101.91 for diesel and Sh92.44 for a litre of kerosene until March 14.
Petrol has prices climbed from Sh106.99 a litre that it has retailed in Nairobi for the past month.
Diesel price has increased from Sh96.40 a litre, while kerosene, used by poor households for lighting and cooking, has increased from Sh87.12 a litre.
In a statement released by Acting Director-General Daniel Kiptoo said the increases in prices this month are due to a 20.93 per cent rise in the average landed cost of imported super petrol from $323.52 per cubic meter in December 2020 to $391.24 per cubic meter in January 2021.
